VICTORIOUS LIVING

Part 1

 

No one wants to be a loser in life. We want to succeed and have victory over our past.  You can have a victorious life by the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit.

What is victorious living?  It is living on a higher plane, no matter what your circumstance may be. It involves the control of the Holy Spirit in our lives, moment by moment.

The Bible says that if we are born of God, then we have overcome the world and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God. With belief comes action. Yes thanks be to God which giveth us the victory through Jesus Christ.

If you are not a born again believer, then you are living in darkness. Let’s look at some scripture.

1. “To open their eyes, and to turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins.” Acts 26:18  

2. “When they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart were darkened.   Romans 1:21  

3. “For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are you light in the Lord: walk as children of light. Ephesians 5:8  

4. “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. Ephesians 5:11

Are you living in darkness?  Have you received Jesus as your Lord and Savior?  Is the past so much of your life that you cannot see any hope?

In our next lesson we will look at life with Christ.

Pray this prayer with sincerity:

Father, I know my past keeps me in darkness. Teach me to live in your marvelous light.  In Jesus’ name
